I have to explain myself before I start this review. My oldest son is on the spectrum. Why am I telling you this. It skewed my opinion of this novel.

I will be completely honest. The first half of the novel was enjoyable. I liked the characters. But then it took a turn. Pissed me off and I was unable to climb outta my mad πŸ˜‚. I liked one person. Charlene. I felt sorry for Gentry. I was very, very upset with Zee πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.
Now, the writing is exceptional. Ex Cept Tional.
The different POV’s were incredibly well done. They were completely flawless. The characters, although unlikeable…were very real. Life is not always sunshine and rainbows. For the most part I enjoy a real life novel. This one however, rubbed me the wrong way.
Given the opportunity I would re read Greenwood. This particular novel was just not for me .
One more thing. The audio for this novel was 5 stars. Full cast…need I say more? No, no I don’t need to πŸ˜‚.
I lied when I said one more thing πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. This was a great book club book. We had a fantastic discussion…so there is that!
