I have to explain myself before I start this review. My oldest son is on the spectrum. Why am I telling you this. It skewed my opinion of this novel.

I will be completely honest. The first half of the novel was enjoyable. I liked the characters. But then it took a turn. Pissed me off and I was unable to climb outta my mad ๐Ÿ˜‚. I liked one person. Charlene. I felt sorry for Gentry. I was very, very upset with Zee ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ.
Now, the writing is exceptional. Ex Cept Tional.
The different POVโ€™s were incredibly well done. They were completely flawless. The characters, although unlikeable…were very real. Life is not always sunshine and rainbows. For the most part I enjoy a real life novel. This one however, rubbed me the wrong way.
Given the opportunity I would re read Greenwood. This particular novel was just not for me .
One more thing. The audio for this novel was 5 stars. Full cast…need I say more? No, no I donโ€™t need to ๐Ÿ˜‚.
I lied when I said one more thing ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ. This was a great book club book. We had a fantastic discussion…so there is that!
